Hiking

There are six stages on this route with an average stage including an 8 to 10km trek. The terrain is varied with dirt tracks and cobbled paths making up the majority of the walks. You will walk from one village to the next over the old donkey trails that were used for centuries to connect towns before modern asphalt roads were available. The route is easy to hike and great for beginning to moderate hikers.

Package

The Sierra de Aracena is known for its natural beauty, picturesque whitewashed villages and exquisite gastronomy. With our half board stays you will get the opportunity to try some of the local delicacies (think local cured ham from acorn fed free roaming pigs, wild mushrooms, gambas from Huelva and much more). Your luggage will be transferred from hotel to hotel by us so you don’t have to worry about carrying a heavy backpack.

Availability Information

The trek is available from September to June. July and August are just too hot to walk so we do not offer these months.
